SubJara Terms of Service

Version 3.0 · Effective: April 2026

Please read these Terms of Service carefully before using SubJara. By creating an account, requesting early access, or making a payment through a SubJara-powered link, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use SubJara.

1. Definitions

In these Terms, the following words have the meanings given:

"SubJara", "we", "us", "our" means SubJara Technology Limited.
"Platform" means the SubJara mobile application, website (subjara.app), and associated services.
"Organiser" means a person who creates a SubJara account to collect dues on behalf of a group.
"Member" means a person who pays through a SubJara payment link or joins a SubJara-managed group.
"Group" means an informal organisation whose Organiser uses SubJara.
"Plan" means a collection campaign created by an Organiser.
"Payment" means a transaction made by a Member through the Platform in respect of a Plan.
"Platform Fee" means the convenience fee charged by SubJara on each successful Payment.
"Paystack" means Paystack Payments Limited.
"Payout" means the transfer of a Member’s Payment (less the Platform Fee) to the Organiser’s bank account.
"Subaccount" means the Paystack-managed account linked to the Organiser’s bank account.
"NDPA" means the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023.
"CBN" means the Central Bank of Nigeria.

2. Eligibility & Account Registration

2.1 Eligibility

To create an Organiser account you must be at least 18 years old, resident in Nigeria, and have the authority to collect funds on behalf of the Group you register.

2.2 Private Beta Access

SubJara currently operates in a private beta. Access is by invitation only. Invite links are valid for 7 days, single-use, and non-transferable.

2.3 Account Security

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials. Notify us at support@subjara.app if you suspect unauthorised access.

2.4 One Account Per Organisation

Each Group may only have one active Organiser account.

3. Organiser Obligations

Authority to collect dues and contributions.
Accurate plan information.
Bank account registration and verification.
Prohibited uses including fraud and misrepresentation.

4. Payments, Fees & Payouts

All Payments are processed by Paystack. SubJara does not process or store payment card data.

Platform Fee is displayed at checkout. Paystack charges separate fees. SubJara does not hold funds; payouts route via Paystack subaccounts.

5. Member Terms

Members do not need a SubJara account to make a Payment. Member data is handled as described in our Privacy Policy.

6. Intellectual Property

SubJara and associated software and content are owned by SubJara Technology Limited.

7. Prohibited Conduct

You must not use the Platform to violate Nigerian law, engage in fraud, or attempt unauthorised access.

8. Platform Availability & Changes

The Platform is provided on an "as is" basis. We may modify or discontinue features at any time.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by Nigerian law, SubJara is not liable for indirect losses and is not responsible for third-party actions. Liability limits apply.

10. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify SubJara for claims arising from your breach of these Terms.

11. Termination

Accounts may be closed by you (via support) or suspended/terminated by SubJara for breaches or legal reasons.

12. Dispute Resolution

Disputes are governed by Nigerian law and the courts of Lagos State.

13. Anti-Money Laundering & Compliance

We may request verification, delay payouts where suspicious activity is detected, and retain records as required by law.

14. Modifications to These Terms

We may update these Terms with notice of material changes.
